1 out of 4 people are Introverts! Are you?
An introvert is someone who is quiet, generally prefers solitary activities instead of interacting with large groups of people. Would rather work through their feelings writing them down than have a conversation. You do not like to have center attention. You hold back from expressing your feelings. Does the idea of a small talk make you nervous? Many (although not all) introverts find the idea of having to sell themselves or their business ideas very daunting, while trying to connect with others for business purposes can seem downright scary rather than as an opportunity. Does this sound familiar?
This doesn’t mean that introverts can’t be successful. The key to success isn’t always about being able to be the most outgoing person but of having self awareness and understanding more about ourselves:
-Who do you want to become?
-How do you want to feel?
-Where do you want to go?
-How do you want others to feel?
-How do you want to measure your life?
With Social Media and on how it works, we know we have to share our journey, our story (just like we mentioned Monday’s post). That is the only way we can connect with people.
I want you to think about this:
A HEROIC ACTION:
Being on stage. By having that courage to get up there, you are already in a winning attitude. You build all the courage in the world to get up there. THAT IS A HEROIC ACTION.
So think about sharing your story on social media. People that know you, know that you are quiet and shy and all of a sudden you are sharing your journey, all of a sudden you are excited about something, about life.
-Now you are interesting to your followers
-They know something is different with you
-They know it’s uneasy for you to open up
YOU WILL ENGAGE THEM TO YOU. NOW THEY WANT TO COME BACK AND SEE WHAT YOU HAVE TO SHARE.
*Step out of your COMFORT ZONE! Is it nerve wrecking? YES! But it’s amazing how accomplished you feel after stepping out of your comfort zone. You grow as a person and you see a growth in your business.
*Do You Know Your “Why?” Your WHY will help you find Your Purpose and will make THAT moment of being out of your comfort zone very rewarding. Your WHY will make you do the uncomfortable. Will help reach higher limits. Make sure you go back to your WHY!! Have a clear WHY.
CALL TO ACTION: TRACK YOUR EFFORTS. Just like in the book “The Compound Effect “, it talks a lot about tracking what you do daily. One of the reasons why people make so many bad choices is because they don’t make conscious decisions. For example… People don’t realize how much money they are wasting until they start tracking. They will realize that they are throwing away money on stuff they don’t really need. So once they are tracking, they become more conscious on what they are spending. So the same thing applies to this. This will keep you on track to what your goals are. Step out of your comfort zone 1x a day. Write down every single moment you stepped out of your comfort zone. This will help you be more conscious on your daily activities. Try this for a month and that will translate to see growth in you and in your business.
These actions will lead you to have more confidence because in reality this is a strength you can build. Just like a bicep or hamstring muscle- those muscles can be improved.
Comment below if you are an INTROVERT. If you are not one…big chances are that you are either raising an introvert, married to an introvert, co-working with an introvert or someone in your team is an introvert.
