In today’s video, I want everyone to remember WHY they
joined. Don’t get distracted from YOUR journey. Stay focused on what you came
here to do and achieve it. Don’t let comparison steal your thunder.
In today’s video I talk about the Push but also TWO things
you can easily implement today on your team and they make a BIG difference!
One of my favorite quotes: “People don’t care how much you
know until they know how much you care” ― John C. Maxwell
WHY? Because it reminds me of one of the biggest lessons I
learned as a Coach – Be the Coach you wish had sponsored you. Deep, right? My
goal (and hopefully yours too) is that everyone has a positive experience with
Team Beachbody and our team – that they feel they are a part of a family.
Now, not everyone is perfect. We have so many commitments
pulling us in every different direction everyday but the point is not PERFECT
it’s being the BEST you can BE.
So what are the things that I feel have helped me be a better
Coach and leader? I took ownership of MY success. It’s not about anyone else
but YOU. You are in charge of your DREAM, not anyone else. So today it’s time
to clear your mind of CAN’T and GO FOR IT, always being the COACH you wish had
What does that mean? Here are some tips that have helped me grow my business.
- SPEED OF THE LEADER, SPEED OF THE PACK
As a Diamond leader, this is what you should do to set the pace of your team.
- Earn Success Club as quickly as possible and then focus
your efforts on recruiting, your challenge groups, and leading your team.
Earning Success Club consistently shows that I am in the trenches with my team,
that it is a non-negotiable goal and so it should be for them. Success Club is
ALWAYS my #1 priority each month for me and my team.
- As discussed in the video, open your own private team
page. Even if its just YOU and one more Coach. Remember you are the CEO and you
are responsible for training your team. Don’t rely on others. STEP IT UP and people
will respect you as a leader. Transfer information from YouTube, other Coach
pages, etc. into this group. Include your Welcome Email as well. Very helpful!
- Be in the KNOW first. Stay PLUGGED IN at all times so you
can spread information down. Do you read the Breaking Coach News in the COO?
- POSITIVITY/MOMENTUM is hard to build, NEGATIVITY spreads
- There are going to be wrenches thrown at you and your
team at all times (i.e. products on back order, issues with customer
service/coach relations, etc.). It is how you handle them that makes the
difference. Leaders don’t complain, they turn negatives into positives and find
- BE POLITICALLY CORRECT. Chose your words carefully when
addressing issues. Never be offensive or put anyone down. Remember this ENTIRE
business is about building people UP, not breaking them down.
- THE ART OF RECOGNITION
Recognition of achievements is CRUCIAL. What can you recognize?!?
- Welcoming a new coach – OH HOLD THE PHONE! You sponsored
a new coach?!? MAKE A BIG DEAL about it! I create a welcome picture for all new
coaches that I sponsor. And bringing them onto our team page with a BANG. This
may be the first time in their life they see their picture up in such a
welcoming and exciting way! And they may want that feeling again and again (as
they rank advance). Get the picture? Pun intended. And tell a story when you
place them in the group not just “Welcome _______, this is our team
- Celebrating FIRSTS – did your coach sell his/her
challenge pack? CELEBRATE! Did your coach earn success club for the first time
– CELEBRATE! Did your coach sponsor his/her first coach? CELEBRATE! Making this
business fun is what people want!
- Rank advancements – here again, CELEBRATE but tell a
story about the Coach that advanced. How did you connect, what brought him/her
to this point, what has been their weight loss success. SHARE IT. People will
connect to the person and you as their coach if they hear the story. Maybe
their story will resonate with them.
behavior will create a ripple effect downward. If you do it, others will
follow. And then the MAGIC happens. These behaviors will set the tone for you team.
